This website has not been updated since December of 2024, and some of the information may no longer be accurate.

We made the decision to stop actively maintaining this site after major changes in how information is delivered online. With the introduction of Google’s AI Overviews, rich snippets, and AI powered search experiences, most visitors now get answers directly from search results without ever reaching websites like this one.

As a result, the traffic and visibility this site once received no longer justify ongoing updates. Rather than quietly letting the content age without explanation, we want to be transparent about its status.

On May 19, 2016 Arizona became the 20th state to ban breed specific legislation. Arizona Governor Doug Ducey (R) signed the law.

In the house, 35 Republicans and 1 Democrat (Rep. Reginald Bolding) voted in favor of the law. In the Senate 17 Republicans and 1 Democrat voted in favor of the law.

The bill also include removing the requirements for commercial pet stores from only selling recuse dogs and cats. Bad news for the shelters.
